LEGO VIP is a free loyalty programme. Earn ~6.25 points per dollar/pound/euro spent, redeem for sets, gift cards, experiences and exclusive GWPs.
The LEGO VIP programme is the official LEGO Group loyalty scheme. It is free, takes thirty seconds to join, and — if you are a regular LEGO buyer — saves serious money over time. This guide explains how it works in 2026.
How it works
- Earn: Roughly 6.25 points per £1 / $1 / €1 spent on LEGO.com, in LEGO Brand Stores, and on official LEGO.com app purchases.
- Bonus events: LEGO runs "Double VIP Points" weekends 6–8 times per year, typically aligned with major launches and seasonal moments.
- Redeem: 1,250 points = £5 / $5 / €5 off your basket. Effectively a 2.5% baseline rebate, doubled to 5% during bonus events.
- Tiers: Status thresholds (Silver, Gold, Platinum) unlock exclusive rewards, early access to flagship launches, and member-only experiences.
Beyond the points: the VIP rewards centre
Points are only half the story. The VIP Rewards Centre is a constantly-rotating catalogue that lets you trade points for:
- Exclusive merchandise: branded apparel, art prints, Brickheadz, polybags and seasonal GWPs.
- Charity donations: donate points to LEGO Foundation partner causes.
- Experiences: behind-the-scenes factory tours, designer Q&A sessions, LEGOLAND tickets.
- Sweepstakes entries: chance to win flagship sets, signed art, and trips to Billund.
- VIP coins: the limited-edition collector coins that have become a phenomenon in their own right.
How to maximise your VIP value
- Always log in before checkout. Forgotten points cannot be claimed retroactively beyond the order history window.
- Save big purchases for double-points weekends. A £400 set earns 2,500 points normally — 5,000 with double-points active. That is a £20 rebate vs £10.
- Stack VIP with cashback portals. TopCashback (UK) and Rakuten (US) frequently offer 1–5% back on top of VIP earnings.
- Use VIP for the GWP threshold. Many gift-with-purchase promotions are basket-value gated; redeeming a £5 coupon at checkout still keeps you above the threshold.
- Convert to a LEGO gift card for upcoming launches — gift cards have no expiry and let you stockpile rebate value for flagship pre-orders.
Things VIP cannot do
- Earn on third-party retailer purchases (Amazon, Argos, Smyths) — the points are LEGO.com / Brand Store only.
- Stack with promo discount codes in most cases.
- Earn on tax/VAT in markets where tax is shown separately.
For a typical AFOL spending £1,000+/year on LEGO.com, VIP pays back £30–£70 in real value annually with no effort. For a serious LEGO investor spending several thousand, it pays for entire flagship sets every year.
